Earth to British Telecom, Earth to British Telecom..you made a mistake!

I am currently stuck with no working internet, British Telecom failed to complete the direct debit which my mum set up for them, as a result of this we kept getting this annoying "pay your bill screen" which you can see below...

So realizing that thee direct debit was not set up by British Telecom, my mum sat for about 20 minutes talking to some 'automated payment system' where you answer yes or no. And then of course R2D2 on  the other end of the phone decides to tell us that we may be cut off for up to 24 hours. So I've sat here for about 2 and a half hours with pretty much no internet or tv. One of the things that really annoys me about this situation is that BT don't cut you off completely, ohh no, they do something much much worse... They leave you with all the boring sites like Google and Wikipedia, but still cut you off from facebook and twitter and bbc iplayer and all the fun stuff. Please help BT or I will run back to TalkTalk faster than you can say fiber optic.
